I must say, being a part of this year’s Talent Fiesta added colours to this mundane, quarantined life of mine. With all the academic pressure and almost no time to look at my art, watching the participants dance with such passion filled my heart.
These little munchkins reminded me of myself back in 6th grade, having the same enthusiasm and determination. Even though online fests have their own downsides, and the kids could have easily given up thinking of what a hassle it can be to conduct a show through a screen, I really appreciate the 20 participants who were a sport and showed up. This just showed how much they love their art form. Each performance had its own beauty and a different story to tell.
Hats off to the parents for helping the students organise their costume, music and the space to dance. It was absolutely commendable. I believe all performances were close to a winner. They were so good that grading became tough. It was a wonderful experience, and brought me back many memories.
I am looking forward to these buds bloom into beautiful, colourful flowers.
Thank you so much for making me a part of this year’s talent fiesta as a judge.
Warm regards,
