About Us

The Mother’s Blossoms is the alumni body of The Mother’s International School.

Registered as a SOCIETY under the Societies Registration Act on December 29, 2006, it works with the motto to – connect, collaborate and contribute.

Mother’s Blossoms endeavors to keep the MIS alumni connected with each other and to the school like an extended family. It serves as an interactive platform for the Alumni in its efforts to support social and educational causes.

Being a part of Mother’s Blossoms activities is an opportunity for you to give back to your Alma Mater and to the society at large.

MB Activities

Over the years Mother’s Blossoms has been working to increase interaction among the alumni, sponsoring activities at school like Abhivyakti – Talent Fiesta, Children’s day, Career Fair, Alumni Sports Day and also contributing to the some requirements at school.

In 2018, we adopted the vision – connect, collaborate, contribute. We also took up many initiatives under the connect, collaborate and contribute programs. Here is a brief of our recent activities –

The Mother’s Blossoms collaborates to support and contribute towards various social welfare activities in the field of education, health, environment, community support, relief & rehabilitation, art & culture.

The Alumni willingly contributes their time and expertise along with financial support for the social and charitable activities of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, New Delhi and Auro Mira Vidya Mandir, a tribal village school in Kechla, in Koraput district south of Odisha.

All these events and activities are a gesture of gratitude and contribution towards the institution that has given the alumni a foundation for life.

Mother’s Blossoms Team

Mother’s Blossoms’ is for, by and of the MIS Alumni. It has grown and developed as an organization of repute due to the dedicated efforts and contributions of many members across batches.
 
The governing body of Mother’s Blossoms is elected by its life members. As school management, Ms. Tara Jauhar, Mrs Indu Bala Pillay (deceased) and Mrs Sanghamitra Ghosh are the Mother’s Blossoms patrons.
 
The governing body takes up the role to administer Mother’s Blossoms as a representative of all MIS Alumni members.
 
18th April 2023 onwards – The governing body is now headed by Dr. Sandeep Ahlawat, Batch of 1991, as President.
 
26th Jan 2018 onwards – The governing body was headed by Ms. Divya Chaudhary, Batch of 1991, as President.
Mother’s Blossoms adopted the vision connect, collaborate, and contribute. Many new initiatives were taken up, like the new website mothersblossoms.org We connected the alumni and old teachers through Whatsapp, YouTube and continued Facebook and Email connect. A range of Memorabilia was created which is now available online on the website.
An online membership application software was developed. Many social welfare activities with MIS, AMVM (Odisha), Delhi ashram and Madhuban (Ramgarh) were done. An online fund-raising platform was developed. We also collected school archive photographs. We continued to sponsor EWS and AMVM children’s education. Bhumi Mangalam and Bhajan Sandhya were some of new activities started in collaboration with the alumni.
 
17th Nov, 2008 onwards – The governing body was headed by Ms. Charu Leekha, Batch of 1976, as President.
During these years we started Email communications with the Alumni. We provided sponsorship to Kechala children, contributed towards school infrastructure, lab and library development. Contributions were made to Delhi Ashram for computer lab and VTs sponsorship. An information website mothersblossoms.com was launched.
 
29th Dec, 2006 onwards – The governing body was headed by Mr. Aditya Ahluwalia, Batch of 1980, as President.
As the first formal body we reached out to all alumni, setup the Life Membership system and rules. Social welfare initiatives along with Matri Karuna Vidyalaya and AMVM, Odisha were taken up. We also supported the MIS for their assembly hall and pottery lab. We started organizing the Annual Alumni Meet and School Birthday celebrations. MB newsletter Surabhi was started.
 
Before registering as a Society, Mother’s Blossoms operated at an informal level. Ms. Neena Sethi supported by Ms. Sujata Suri worked on connecting the alumni.
