I have immense fondness in my heart for MIS which is the only school I have ever known, joining as a Nursery student in 1957 and passing out of high school in 1970. We were four siblings in the same school. Those days the ashram and the school premises merged into each other and we children had a free run of the place.
It was in the silence of the meditation hall and the beauty and dignity of the pure white samadhi that we had our initial brush with spirituality and purity.
Amongst the memories of the school, our trip to Pondicherry is one unforgettable experience which included visits to the beach and various parts of the ashram. One hallmark of the trip was the laying of the foundation of the unique township called, Auroville. Looking up to view Mother’s holy presence in the balcony offered an ethereal vision.
